Footsie

Interactive Kinetic Art Installation

Description:

“Footsie” is an interactive kinetic installation. It inspires to connect people the counter-intuitive physical interaction that is mediated by flirtatious machines. It consists of a table and four robotic chairs; the chair legs carry the motion of “footsie” and the arms caress the back of the participant.

“Something is touching me under the table… Are they your feet? Those tickled my toes…”

Year: 2021
Materials: plastic, wood, steel, servo and stepper motors etc.
Size: top 1x 0.5 x 1.6 meters
